Partner Program Terms

Last updated: July 2026

Apostille Global Services is a private document authentication service. We are not a government agency. The Partner Program is a referral arrangement between our company and independent third-party businesses (notaries, law firms, mail-and-ship stores, translators, and similar service providers). Partners are not employees, agents, or representatives of Apostille Global Services.

Who Can Join

The Partner Program is open to licensed U.S. businesses that regularly encounter clients needing apostille or authentication services. Typical partners include commissioned notaries, mail-and-ship stores, law firms, translation agencies, and title companies. We reserve the right to decline or terminate any partner at our discretion.

How Attribution Works

Each partner is issued a unique referral code. When a client enters that code during checkout — or arrives via a partner link that pre-fills the code — the resulting order is attributed to the partner. Attribution is per completed, paid order, and is not transferable across orders or clients.

Referral Fees

  • $20 for each completed apostille order (California Secretary of State or U.S. Department of State).
  • $40 for each completed legalization / embassy authentication order.
  • Fees accrue only after the client's order is fully paid and not refunded. Refunded or charged-back orders are removed from the payout balance.
  • Payouts are processed on a monthly basis for balances above the minimum threshold displayed in your partner dashboard.

Immigration Orders Are Excluded

Important: Referral fees are not paid on orders where the client indicates the document is for an immigration purpose (visa application, green card, adjustment of status, work authorization, asylum, or any other immigration matter). California Business & Professions Code and federal rules governing immigration consultants prohibit paying referral or splitting fees for immigration-related legal work. Orders flagged as immigration-purpose are excluded from partner payouts. Partners must not market our service as an immigration service and must not represent that a referral fee is being paid on any immigration matter.

What Partners May and May Not Say

  • Partners may describe us accurately as a private apostille and document authentication service.
  • Partners may not describe us or themselves as a government agency, law firm, immigration consultant, "notario," or an accredited representative.
  • Partners may not provide legal advice, immigration advice, or advice on which legal document a client should use.
  • Partners may not guarantee acceptance of a document by any government, foreign consulate, employer, or school.
  • Partners may not charge the client an additional fee on top of our published pricing in exchange for using the referral code.

Client Data

Partner dashboards show aggregate attribution and payout data. We do not share the client's uploaded documents, addresses, or contact information with the partner. Partners must handle any client information they collect themselves in accordance with applicable privacy law.

Taxes

Partner payouts are gross of taxes. Partners are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes owed on referral fees. U.S. partners receiving $600 or more in a calendar year will be issued a Form 1099-NEC.

Termination

Either party may terminate the partnership at any time. Accrued but unpaid fees earned before termination (excluding immigration-purpose orders and refunded orders) will be paid on the next regular payout date. We may immediately terminate a partner for misrepresentation, prohibited marketing, or violation of these terms; in that case unpaid balances may be forfeited.

Not Legal Advice

These terms are a business arrangement, not legal advice. Consult your own attorney before joining the Partner Program if you have questions about how referral-fee rules apply to your specific license or profession. Full site terms: Terms of Service.
